In just two short months of life, she's already got me wrapped around her little finger. Imagine what it's going to be like in two years...or when she's a teenager! Yikes! I know I'll enjoy every minute of it :o)

My little model
Ava got her first professionally done pictures a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, some of the poses and props are a bit cheesy but she's so flippin' cute in them that it's easy to overlook the cheesy-ness. Check them out:

Been a dad for almost two months!
I gotta say, so far this dad thing is AWESOME! I can't stop holding and touching and kissing Ava. She's so friggin' cute! Of course, I'm just a wee bit biased.
Ava's been sleeping through the night the past couple of nights (how lucky). We usually put her down for the night at around ten or so and she's out like a light until 6 in the morning! Because she sleeps like daddy - arms up, hands near her head - when I go in to check on her and touch her hand, it's cool! Of course I automatically think the worst "Oh no! She's dead!". Then I touch her warm cheek and relax. She gets me every time that girl! It's not nice to do that to daddy...he's getting old and his heart can't take that kind of stress.
My brother is coming to visit this summer. I can't wait until he meets his little neice. He's coming up at perfect time too because she's just starting to coo and smile. The giggles will come next and I can't wait! Erin and I laugh at her now when she's asleep because she makes the funniest little faces. Imagine when she's giggling along! There's going to be alot of laughter in our house over the next few years...now that I have someone new to try out all my old jokes on. Look out, Ava!
PS: My Mom was up visiting a couple of weeks ago. It was the cutest thing ever. When she finally got to hold her granddaughter for the first time, she cried tears of joy. Yeah, I welled up a bit too. It was one of those moments I'll never forget.
